Neurology Services
AcuMed Veterinary Specialty is a referral center for Veterinary Neurology.  Pets with Paraplegia/Paralysis, Hind limb weakness, Seizures/Epilepsy, Head Tilt and a wide variety of Brain and Spinal Cord and Nerve diseases are Diagnosed and Treatment options are offered. A Neurological examination is performed first to find out “Where” and “What”the problem is before opting for advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT Scan or a CSF Tap.

MRI & CT Scans / Critical Anesthesia
An extension of our neurology services where in we facilitate advanced imaging services like MRI and CT scans for your pets. Pet’s need to stay completely still inside an MRI and a CT Scan machine,hence need to be anaesthetised. With a team trained in Neurology & Anaesthesia you can be rest assured about your pet’s MRI & CT scan experience.

CSF (Cerebro-Spinal Fluid Collection)
Pets can suffer from certain infections/inflammations similar to Meningitis/Encephalitis in Humans. Spinal fluid testing is essential to diagnose such conditions. We offer Cerebro-Spinal Fluid (CSF) Collection under general anaesthesia and monitoring at our clinic.

Acupuncture & Rehabilitation
AcuMed Veterinary Specialty has been a trusted name in Acupuncture and Spine Care since 2011. Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles into specific points in the body. It is a painless procedure which helps with pain management, cases of paralysis, weakness of hind legs, spine diseases, arthritis and many more ailments. Dr.Prathmesh Deshmukh is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and has been elected to The Board Of Directors Of World Association Of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (WATCVM) in 2013.

Cardiac Care for Pets
Don’t Skip A Beat is an extension of services where in we offer Cardiology consultation for pets. These includes a through Cardiac Auscultation (Listening to Heart Sounds), Chest X-ray , ECG and Blood Pressure check. We also provide our expertise & facilitate 2D Echocardiography.

Dedicated Operation Theater with Critical Monitoring
Our aim is to keep up with the recent advances in veterinary sciences and to make anaesthesia safer for your pets. Be rest assured that we have a clean, hygienic, dedicated and sterile Operation Theater for your pets. We also have a dedicated Recovery Room for our patients post surgery and  have an electrocautery for our surgical procedures to ensure minimal blood loss. In an attempt to make anaesthesias safer we have a Gas/Inhalation Anaesthesia machine, ECG , SPO2 monitor, Capnograph (ETCo2) and a Veterinary specific doppler blood pressure monitor for your pets and most importantly a dedicated anaesthetist for every surgery/procedure.

Laparoscopy / Minimally Invasive Surgery
Minimally invasive surgery is the need of the day. Gone are the days making your pets undergo a huge abdominal incision and painful post-operative experience.
Laparoscopy involves only 3 key-hole size incisions. The camera guided procedure takes shorter time and post-operative recovery is faster. We offer Laparoscopic female dog neuter (oopherectomy) and male retained (abdominal) testicle removal/neuter.Ask us for more details

We at Acumed Veterinary Specialty are very passionate about Pain Management. Our Vets are members of The International Veterinary Academy Of Pain Management, USA . We offer multi-modal pain relief ranging from Acupuncture, Physiotherapy, Anaesthetic-Analgesia.

Digital X-ray Facility
A combination of a High Frequency X-Ray machine for crisp images & a Digital processor with Veterinary specific software for accurate X-ray processing & interpretation are now available at Acumed Veterinary Specialty.

Orthopedic Surgeries
We offer a wide range of orthopedic surgeries Cruciate Ligament (Knee Ligament) TPLO Surgery , Hip Surgeries, Fracture plating/ pinning and many more. Our commitment does not end with only orthopedic surgery , we also offer pre and post operative physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Pugs – Corrective Breathing Surgery
Pugs , Bulldogs and snubbed nose dog breeds face difficulty in breathing due to their narrow nostrils and elongated soft palates called Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome. We offer corrective surgeries to help them breathe easier and live a better quality life.

Laparoscopic Gastropexy – Preventive GDV Surgery
Gastric Dialation & Volvulus (GDV) is a rapidly worsening life threatening condition in which the stomach bloats & twists around itself.It is very common in large breed dogs like German Shepherds,Rottweilers, Dobermans, Labradors,Great Danes,Saint Bernards,Irish Setters,Weimeraners and all deep chested dogs. Unfortunately GDV can be fatal if not operated at the earliest. However GDV can be prevented with a simple procedure called Gastropexy. Soft Tissue & Oncology Surgery
We offer a variety of soft tissue surgeries including Abdominal surgeries, Pyometra, Mass / Tumor removal along with a great anaesthetic setup. Chemotherapy for pets suffering from cancer is also offered at Acumed Veterinary Specialty.

General Wellness & Vaccinations
