Dr. Prathmesh Deshmukh (BVSc & AH, CVA)
Dr. Prathmesh Deshmukh graduated from Bombay Veterinary College, in 2010. He completed his Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from CHI Institute of Europe, Spain, in 2012.
Dr Deshmukh completed a brief stint at the Royal Western Indian Turf Club assisting an Equine Acupuncturist. He pursued his interest in Veterinary Neurology by doing externships at a Neurology clinic in Spain with a Diplomate from European College of Veterinary Neurology. He also did an externship in a Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation centre in Spain.
In 2013, Dr.Deshmukh was appointed to the Board of Directors of the World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (WATCVM). The WATCVM is sponsored by the Chinese Veterinary Medical Association (ChVMA) and is represented by its Board Members across 25 countries
In 2014 Dr.Deshmukh continued his Neurology training in Bologna,Italy and became a member of the European Society of Veterinary Neurology. He attended the Veterinary Neuroscience & Advanced Clinical Neurology course followed by training in Veterinary Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).He has also attended Continuing Education courses in Veterinary Neurology from Royal Veterinary College, UK.
In 2015, with Dr.Deepti Deshpande, co-founded “Antibiotic Vigilantes” which was started with an aim to create awareness about the global concern about Antibiotic resistance among Veterinary health professionals in India.In 2016, Dr.Deshmukh completed his training in Clinical Neurology from the University Of Sydney. In 2017, Dr.Deshmukh became a member of International Veterinary Academy Of Pain Management (IVAPM).
His areas of interest are Neurology, Neuro-Radiology, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), PainManagement& Rehabilitation. He has conducted several lectures and workshops on Neurology, Acupuncture & Pain Management in Veterinary Universities in India, as well as Veterinary Practitioners’ associations. He was a speaker at the 2nd Indo-Global Summit & Expo on Veterinary, held in Hyderabad in 2015. He was the Keynote speaker at the India International Pet Trade Fair ( IIPTF ) in 2014. He also has students and veterinarians visit his practice to learn from him. One of his dream projects is to have an academy where students can nurture their areas of interests.
